2018 CLAAS DIRECT DISC 600 Whether you're intending to use milk ripe plants for high-grade animal feed or as biomass for energy production, this front attachment means you can mow and chop in a single pass. The plants are mowed with the MAX CUT mower bar which ensures very even stubble thanks to the mowing discs being positioned well forward. The crop is fed straight to the powerful forage harvester by an intake auger with a very large diameter. This model series is notable in particular for its ability to handle very tall plants, such as sorghum, growing to heights of up to 13.1 ft (4.0 m). CLAAS offers side knives for use in severely intertwined crops. Simple attachment and locking; friction-type connection of the drive train via quick-connect coupler Delayed switching on spring elements and mowing unit allows the use of the DIRECT DISC even at full load Three different conveyor speeds for uniform crop flow and optimal chopping quality Proven DISCO cutter bars with MAX CUT for high cutting performance and clean work quality Reduced downtime, thanks to quick blade change Perfect adaptation to harvesting conditions with hydraulically height-adjustable paddle roller Easy access to conveying elements through large service opening Excellent ground tracking by the mechanical side equalization and guiding on skids at Ground pressure control Lateral knife separation optional
